about new information, music, trades, and much more. It's
simple to create an account: just go to register, fill out
the information, and you can immediately start interacting
with other forum users. We are trying to drive more traffic

email me, Jordan Montgomery, or post on the Great Forum.

Welcome to the revolutionary new
website that will change the way you discover and trade news
music packages. Cut Counts Now was started as a spinoff from
the extremely popular and leading website, News Music Now.
News Music Now helps news music fans by letting them hear
a few samples from many different news packages and even some
CD samplers. Visitors can donate their own packages or cuts,
and after running for over a year, News Music Now has gone
from a small start-up site, to a what it is today -- the largest
and best site for listening to and enjoying cut samples from
many different packages. Users can also have their want lists
posted on News Music Now, or request a few specific cuts they
are looking for. Cut Counts Now was started to solve the problems
of finding the right cut counts for news packages, something
that has become a big problem since people started trading
them over the Internet in 2000. When ripping packages to computer,
its easy for some cuts to accidentally get overlooked and
left out of the file, for certain cuts to accidentally get
split, or for duplicates to be made to make it seem like there
are more cuts.
Computers also bring another problem called bitrate, meaning
the sound quality of the file. With postage trading on CDs,
this was never a problem because CD quality is 1152Kbps, or
perfect audio quality. When packages are ripped at 1152Kbps
on the computer though, a single package can easily be well
over 1GB! Instead of ripping packages at pure CD quality,
many traders decide to rip them at 128Kbps, or standard CD
quality, as recognized by the computer. This bitrate is actually
substandard CD quality, because true CD quality starts at
320Kbps. Ripping a package at 128Kbps results in an audible
loss of of clarity from the original package and some instruments
being lost. You probably won't realize this by just listening
to the package, but if you compare it to a 320Kbps version,
the difference is easily apparent. Scratched CDs can also
cause cuts to split when ripped to the computer. If the software
hears the track "cut", it could turn it into two
tracks when it should be one. Today, there are an average
of three versions of every package out there -- there is one
correct version, and two others which are accidentally or
purposely modified or changed in some way. Our goal was to
make sure traders have an easy way to indetify the right number
of cuts, discs, and even themes there are in each package.
Cut Counts Now will show you the five Most Popular Packages
that traders have, the Most Wanted Package that are not in
the trading circulation right now, and the Most Common Packages.
This information is updated periodically to keep it updated
with current news music trading trends. The information is
all accurate, because we get it from what users post on The
Great Forum, what is on want and trade lists, and even from
veteran traders. In our Information section, we have a page
for each of the four big news music companies, and one for
all the others. On these pages, we list all the packages the
companies make, the numbers of discs, cuts, themes, and special
information and descriptions in we have them. We understand
that some of our information could be inaccurate, but we have
done everything we can to verify that it is correct. If you
want to give us corrections, please post in the Cut Counts
Now Corrections category on The Great Forum, the link is at
the top of the page. Any comments or ideas are appreciated,
and we hope you enjoy the website. If you have any questions,
please email me before complaining to anyone else. Thanks
again for visiting the site, and I thank all of you who have
donated your information and reviews -- Cut Counts Now would
not be possible without you.
NOTE: GO TO THE REVIEWS PAGE TO SEE WHAT USERS ARE RECOMMENDING
OR REVIEWING. JUST EMAIL ME FOR MORE INFORMATION ON WHO TO
TRADE WITH, OR TO WRITE YOUR OWN REVIEWS.
Thanks,
Cut Counts Now Staff
Changing Standards.

Cut Counts Now does NOT give away
news music, we do NOT "hook up" with other traders,
and we do NOT do anything to damage the reputations of news
music companies. Short three to ten second musical ID's from
packages are the only high quality or any other type audio
files you will ever find on this site -- it is totally against
our policy to post any other types of audio on this site.
We only post ID's to help people or TV stations interested
in news music to identify with the signatures of different
packages and find out if they want them. It is not possible
to use ID's in a productions environment, and even if it was,
we condemn anyone who uses them for otherwise. Just because
the files are in MP3 format does NOT mean they are longer
than ten seconds, and can be used in a real production --
this is just for maximum compatibility with all types of computers
and operating systems.
Please feel free to read up on our
vast and exclusive infomation, find cut counts you're looking
for, and donate your own information or ID's. Leave a message
on The Great Forum, or send me additional donations for posting
on this website. (For more information on sending files to
the site, click to the Contact page at the top of the site.)
Also, be sure to use common knowledge if you get tempted to
use these files innapropriately.
Out of respect for the companies
that compose this good music, please do NOT redistribute the
information or ID's on any removable media, use them in a
production environment, or on a newscast! The ID's should
ONLY be used for personal pleasure and enjoyment. While it
is acceptable to play these ID's on a portable CD player or
MP3 player with headphones, you MAY NOT legally play them
on a public address or sound system. For more information
on Cut Count Now's policy, click on the News Music Now Title
